TripsMitra blends India Railways for the long stretch and comfortable AC tempo/minibus for the last mile. This guide explains pickup points, fare logic, Self‑arranged mode, and when to use each option.
1) Choose Departure
Pick your departure city and preferred class (Sleeper/3A/2A). Our system fetches IRCTC‑based fares and shows per‑person pricing. Under 12 years travel free by default unless you request a separate berth.
2) Ride to Pickup Station
We identify a convenient Pickup Point Station near the destination. You arrive by train; our crew meets you there on time.
3) AC Last‑mile Transfer
From the pickup station, enjoy a comfortable AC tempo/minibus to your hotel/campsite and activity points. Safe, reliable, and suited for families and groups.
Pickup Point Station
This is the railway station where our team receives you. It’s chosen so the last‑mile road transfer is smooth and short. You’ll see the pickup code pre‑filled on eligible tours; you can change it if the flow suggests an alternative.
Self‑arranged Mode
Already have tickets or prefer your own travel? Choose Self‑arranged. Train fare becomes ₹0 and pickup is optional. You can still join the tour at the hotel or meeting point. This is ideal if you’re using passes, airline miles, or custom itineraries.
Fare logic at a glance
- IRCTC‑based fares per class (Sleeper, 3A, 2A). Select your class to update pricing.
- Age rules: 12+ pay adult fare; below 12 travel free unless Separate Berth is selected for that child.
- Round‑trip surcharge is not applied unless explicitly shown on a tour.
When fares don’t fetch
- Try a nearby departure city or re‑select the class; this triggers a fresh lookup.
- Ensure both Departure City and Pickup Point are set before retrying.
- If the network is flaky or IRCTC is slow, you can continue in Self‑arranged and finalize later.
Example: Hyderabad → Murudeshwara · Gokarna · Dandeli (3D/2N)
You depart from Hyderabad (e.g., HYB/SC) by 3A. The recommended pickup is Hubli (Hubballi Junction – UBL). Our crew meets you at UBL and a comfortable AC tempo/minibus drives you to Murudeshwara first, then Gokarna beaches, and onwards to Dandeli for adventure activities. It’s a compact 3 days / 2 nights circuit. You can arrange your return similarly or switch to Self‑arrangedif you plan to extend your trip elsewhere.
